Vertigo

All this week my head has felt like this.

As of today it is official. The doctors have officially diagnosed me with Vertigo. They failed to provide a known cause for my case, which was a little frustrating, but at least they gave me pills. Bring on the relief. I have not felt this messed up since I was in Alaska on a boat to see glaciers. I felt like I've been on that boat since last Sunday. Some pills, self prescribed Miles Davis, and a week at the beach should cure me.

Random Side Note: On my way to get my prescription I noticed that Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" probably has the best bass lines ever. It might have been my heightened sense from Vertigo, but wow, dude was killing it on bass.

Bottom Line - Vertigo Stinks

Blue Toof

I have become who I have previously despised.

In my uneducated past I had been known to say things like "Every time I see someone talking on a bluetooth in public, I feel like getting a five step run and spearing them into the ground". Those were the old days. Now I have seen the light. T'was blind, but now I see. I am now a proud bluetooth ear piece user. Now I don't have to hold the phone up to my ear all day while walking, driving or sitting at my desk. Now I have two hands free at all times while on the phone. I am actually on the phone now as I am typing this (not really, but I have the capability to be). Hate me if you will, but if I see you while I'm on my bluetooth, I will do my best to respect you by pointing to my ear to let you know that I am on the phone before you uncomfortable start talking to me to realize that I am already on the phone, or in case you think I am talking to you instead of mid air and cause you to say "Are you talking to me?". At this point, I only use it at work. I refuse to be that guy who takes showers and sleeps with his bluetooth on his ear.

Bottom Line - Bluetooth makes the world a safer place

NBA Finals Game 6

Lakers vs. Celtics

Celtics 131 - Lakers 92

Boston Celtics 2008 NBA Champions

KG - Stepped it up, but he moved down on my class player list when he decided to scream obscenities while being interviewed on national television. It had to be bleeped out, and he was acting like a rapper who won some award. Very low class KG.

Pierce - 10 assists, and shut down defense. He deserves the most credit for the championship

Allen - Caught fire after his eye got poked out. Always consistent, always classy. Great player

Rondo - His nickname should be Lazarus because he came back from the dead. Excellent game

Posey - Ultimate X factor player. Shut down Kobe and did everything else right.

The rest of the team - Great supporting energy defensive minded players.

No comments on the Lakers. I couldn't even tell they were there.

Bottom Line - Defense wins championships

NBA Finals Game 5

Celtics vs. Lakers

Lakers 103 - Celtics 98
Here is my breakdown

Kobe - Dominant in 1st Quarter, disappeared in 2nd and 3rd quarters and did just enough to get by in the 4th. Lucky steal from Pierce. He is still not MJ because of lack of defense and inconsistent play when it counts. He is not there mentally.

Gasol - Average game. Finally took it strong against KG to seal it for the Lakers.

D. Fish - Had most of his points on free throws.

Odom - Inconsistent, faded in and out of the game. When he is focused he is a game changer

Vlad Rad - Euro's don't play defense. This guy is lame

Vujachic - Shot horribly. See above about Euro D.

Jordan Farmar - Stepped up. He definitely wins against Eddie House.

Luke Walton - Tries, but just can't get it together in this series.

KG - "The Big Soft Ticket" should be his nickname. He lost this game for the Celtics. Mr. Defensive player of the year got overpowered by Gasol in the last minute of the game, then KG comes down and misses two clutch free throws. Boston will win this series whenever KG decides to show his power and quit settling for jumpshots.

Pierce - MVP of the series hands down. Played almost the whole game. Took it to the hole (Take notes KG), and the most important, played amazing defense against Kobe (not counting 1st quarter). Pierce is the leader.

Allen (Ray) - Consistent production. What more can you ask for?

Powe - Non factor

Rondo - Must of had the night off.

House - Can shoot, but he is no point guard. He struggles handling the ball against pressure D.

PJ Brown, Sam Cassell, Posey, Allen (Tony) - Championship caliber X-factor players.

Bottom Line - Kobe is no MJ. KG is no Shaq. Celtics will take it in game 6.

NBA Finals Game 4

Celtics 97 - Lakers 91

Well it is halftime of game 5 and I am just writing the update for game 4. I did not get to see all of game 4. I won't go through the whole breakdown, but here is what I got.

Lakers started strong, but lack the defensive intensity. Boston made the comeback by making plays on defense which lead to offense.

Bottom Line - The Celtics defense shut Kobe down.

NBA Finals Game 3

Celtics vs. Lakers

Lakers 87 - Celtics 81

Kobe - Came out super aggressive with a smirk. Shot well from the field, horrible at the free throw line. He is still getting warmed up.

Pau Gasol - Was he even there?

Odom - Foul trouble, non factor

Vlad Rad - He can't play any defense and makes stupid fouls

D Fish - Got schooled by Ray Allen all game

Walton / Turiaf / Ariza / Farmar - All had good defensive games

Vujachic - Lived up to his nickname "The Machine" He was the Leon Powe of game 3.

Phil Jackson - Switched up the defense to have Kobe guard Rondo which allowed Ray Allen to have a good game, but neutralized KG and Pierce.

KG - Horrible game. Could not figure out what to do about Kobe's floating D.

Pierce - Did not know what to do about the Laker's defense. Pretty much a non factor

Ray Allen - Carried Boston because D Fish was guarding him

Perkins - Shut down Pau Gasol

Rondo - Did not really produce, he was confused that Kobe was guarding him.

Posey - Had a good all around game both offense and defense

Brown / Cassell / Powe / House - Contributed on defense

Doc Rivers - Looked lost and confused all game because of Phil Jackson's adjustments

Bottom Line - Phil Jackson won game 3 for the Lakers. His team will be on board for game 4 and take it a little easier than they took game 3.

NBA Finals Game 2

Lakers Vs.Celtics

Celtics 108 - Lakers 102
Here is my breakdown

KG - Got schooled in first half. 2nd half all jumpshots. He still won't play in the post.

Pierce - Clutch. He is obviously the leader of this squad.

Allen - Good production offensively, and got Kobe into foul trouble

Rondo - Did not ever look for a shot offensively, he had 16 assists, but him not looking to score will catch up to them.

Kendrick Perkins - No show again

Posey - Good defense, got some 3's

Leon Powe - I could have scored 21 points against that Lakers defense. He did what KG could not do.

Cassell - Got stuffed once and that was it.

PJ Brown - Defense, rebounding, and taking charges.

Kobe - Foul trouble, slowly getting his smirk back. I predict he will erupt for 50 in game 3 in a Laker blowout

Pau Gasol - Aggressive 1st half, but he can not take over a game. 2nd half he was non existent, even during the comeback.

Vlad Rad - Bad fouls, and some 3's and he had that steal where he traveled to cut it to 4 with one minute left.

D Fish - Kind of got lost in the crowd in this game

Lamar Odom - Foul trouble, too many jump shots

Vujachic - Too little too late

Jordan Farmar - Hit 3's but could not guard Rondo even though Rondo had no intentions of shooting. Farmar should have stayed in college.

Luke Walton - Too slow

Ariza - Waste of space

Bottom Line - Lakers will take games 3,4, & 5

NBA Finals Game 1

Lakers Vs. Celtics

Celtics 98 - Lakers 88
Here is my breakdown

KG - Too many jumpshots. How can he not take it to the rack every single time? Game would have been a blowout if he had.

Pierce - Faked injury to get momentum. He is still the most clutch player on the team.

Allen - Played a good all around game. Didn't get down on missed shots, instead dished and rebounded.

Rondo - Somewhat timid but still found shots

Kendrick Perkins - No show

Sam Cassell - Made clutch shots, took bad shots. Also schooled D. Fish on many occasions.

PJ Brown - The guy everyone loves to hate because he cleans up the boards and makes plays that no one else wants to.

Posey - Pretty much inaffective until he missed a three to allow KG to have a monstrous put back slam.

Kobe - Smooth when he made his shots, but missed alot. He was missing his usual smirk which cost the Lakers the game

Pau Gasol - Average performance. He is not able to take games over as a game changer

Lamar Odom - Didn't rely on the jumpshot, instead took it to the rack, there is no reason he can't do that every time. Take notes KG.

D. Fish - Got schooled by Cassell, but came back aggressive and tried to do what Kobe couldn't

Vlad Rad - Hit a couple of 3's then dissappeared

Sasha Vujachic - Too many dumb fouls, not enough made shots

Ronny Turiaf - Bad hair day. Why did he play more than Luke Walton?

Bottom Line - Defense wins championships, unless Kobe gets his smirk back.
